Welcome to the playtesting scheme at Alley Cat Games. Keep reading to find out how you can get involved, and how to earn rewards for playing games!
Most Tuesday evenings, as well as other days/times occasionally, Alley Cat Games staff run online events to playtest our newest games. We need as many keen board gamers as possible to help us out on our quest for better games!
By taking part in our online playtesting events, you’ll be rewarded with:

£5 store credit for every hour of board games you play

A playtester credit in the rulebook if you play the game on 5+ scheduled events

A free retail copy of the game if you play the game on 10+ scheduled events

What type of games do we play?
We play light euro games up to advanced euro games. Currently, we are playtesting Timber Town: Leaders (Essentials game expansion), and we're soon starting tests of two as yet undisclosed games (one Essentials, one Advanced). We try to rotate games, so you don't need to worry about getting bored!
When?
Every Friday we'll post on discord (#playtest-schedule) to let you know which games, if any, we’ll be testing the following week.
If you’re interested, simply reply to the discord post to let us know!
Then join the discord Demo Table Lobby when the event is scheduled to start. You’ll be allocated to a virtual table in discord, and given access to the game through Tabletop Simulator to play with other Alley Cat Games fans and staff.
Getting your Rewards!
After the playtest, simply fill out the playtest log form to log your hours, and claim the rewards when you’re ready by emailing playtesters@alleycatgames.com! Playtest credit can be spent at the Alley Cat Games webstore or even on our Kickstarter campaigns!
Want to playtest another day/time on a one-off or semi-regular basis?
Got a group of you who want to playtest but can't make the scheduled days/times? Let us know in the playtest channel, and we will work with you to playtest at a time that is convenient for you and your group!
Don’t have Tabletop Simulator?
We understand that some people may not have Tabletop Simulator. If that is the case, show us a full screenshot of your steam account showing that you need to buy it, and after your third online playtesting event, we’ll refund the cost of your purchase! Even better, this refund is in addition to any store credit earned!
Don't have Discord?
It's easy to sign up and free, and there's a thriving Alley Cat community on our discord server! However, if you don't want to join us there, the best way to stay involved is to sign up to our mailing list.
